Apple Beer

Want a crisp, cold drink of fall? If you're in LA, then you have to hustle yourself over to the Hungry Cat and hope that they still have Delerium Tremens' apple beer, Floris Pommes, available. A relatively low alcohol content plus a smooth taste means you can put away more than few if you're so inclined. Drink blog Days that End in Y gives a great tasting description here.

Okay, between persimmon margaritas and special brews of Delirium Tremens (my favorite beer!) you are making feel like I need to go to the Hungry Cat every time I go to Hollywood so I don't miss out on this crazy drinks bounty!

Can you go there just to drink? If I recall, the bar is exclusive seating.

You can definitely go there just to drink. The bar is actually my favorite place to sit even if I'm eating. The bartenders are excellent, and you get a nice view of the kitchen. I would suggest going later in the evening, even on a week night, to increase the likelihood that you don't have to wait!

I too love the Delirium Tremens and its cousin, Nocturnum! I was text messaged by a long time friend when he found the apple verion at an old favorite bar of mine back in Cleveland
